Primary Endorsements Meeting - Wed July 14!

E-mail Print PDF

On July 5th, the Executive Board of the 36th District Democrats made their Primary Election Recommendations.  We considered races where there was a contested primary challenge as a priority, then contested general election challenge. We will consider uncontested general election challenges at our August Executive Board meeting.  Below are the results of the Executive Board's Primary endorsement interviews.

The recommendations will be forwarded to the General Membership at our Wednesday, July 14th Endorsement meeting which will be held at Phinney Neighborhood Association, Room #7 (6532 Phinney Ave N), starting at 7:30 pm.  We will NOT be meeting in our typical Community Hall room, but instead in the upper area's blue building in room #7.  Please follow the signs for our new meeting room (Same location, different room).

Endorsement recommendations are priority motions for endorsement.  If the Executive Board has made a recommendation in a particular race, this motion is considered first and requires a simple majority vote to sustain the motion.  If the motion fails, the floor is open to consider alternation motions.  These 'motions of endorsement from the floor' require 2/3 vote to sustain the motion.

We are attempting to roll out new technology tonight with Live Streaming of our State Supreme Court Candidates' Forum.  Since this is a first for us, we're unclear how well it will go.  Early testing indicated some buffering issues.  If all else fails, we have another video camera set up and we'll upload that video later to the site.  We'll be starting the stream at approximately 7:35 pm.
