Official Job Description: the KCYD representative shall represent the 36th district at all KCYD meetings and report to the membership at regular meetings (Article VII, Section 2e of Bylaws).
Additional Responsibilities: The King County Young Democrats Delegate shall also represent the 36th District at any King County Young Democrats or Young Democrats of Washington events or meetings as appropriate. The KCYD delegate shall report back any relevant YDWA or KCYD events or decisions as is appropriate.
The KCYD delegate shall prepare for the Executive Board a brief plan on increasing youth participation and meeting youth diversity goals for the district organization. This plan is due at the April meeting. The KCYD Delegate shall work with the Membership chair on implementation of the Youth Diversity Plan.
A prepared brief report of the officers’ previous month’s worth of activities and status updates on ‘to-do’s is due two days prior to the Executive Board meeting.
Who May Run: Voting members in good standing (paid membership dues at any time from the reorg meeting to no more than one year prior OR a current PCO).
Who May Vote on This Position: Any voting member in good standing may vote for this position.
