Job Description: the NOC 1 Organizer is one of 5 Neighborhood Organizing Coordinators (NOCs). Each NOC represents one of 5 geographic neighborhoods in the 36th district. Each NOC Organizer will comprise the ad hoc Political Committee and will help organize the precincts, such organizing activities to include membership recruitment, literature distribution, and precinct caucus management. (Article VII, Section 2l of Bylaws).

Other duties as assigned:  NOCs, in rotation, starting with NOC 2 in March, shall coordinate with the Communications Data and Technology Committee the distribution of the district’s newsletter.

NOC coordinators main duty is to execute a GOTV plan come election time.  In the lead up to GOTV for an election, the NOCs should be working to fill precincts, talking with voters and develop plans to penetrate locked, secured buildings.

A prepared brief report of the officers’ previous month’s worth of activities and status updates on ‘to-do’s is due two days prior to the Executive Board meeting.

Who May Run: Voting members in good standing residing within this NOC (paid membership dues at any time from the reorg meeting to no more than one year prior OR a current PCO).

Who May Vote on This Position: Any voting member in good standing residing within this NOC may vote for this position.
